Dr. Catherine Czaya grew up in Cincinnati, OH where she spent copious time developing an appreciation for animals at the Cincinnati Zoo. She came East for college and veterinary school, graduating with a BA from Goucher College in Baltimore, MD (2002) and a DVM from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY (2006). Her career in small animal practice began in the Boston area before moving to New York City. She values helping clients provide the best preventative care for their pets.

She lives in Brooklyn with 2 cats, Wanda and Squirrel Nugget, and 1 husband. On her days off, you might find her at the Prospect Park Zoo, where she volunteers, educating visitors about zoo animals and conservation, conducting tours for school groups, and narrating Sea Lion Training. She enjoys exploring Brooklyn’s parks and restaurants, baking, running, and camping with friends along the East Coast. Dr. Czaya is a relief Doctor for Williamsburg but we consider her part of our VCG Family!
