Dr. Mario Costa was born and raised in Queens, NY. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in cellular and molecular biology from Binghamton University in 2013. Following graduation, Dr. Costa moved out to California to attend veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences where he received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2017.
After veterinary school, he completed a 1 year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at West Hills Animal Hospital and Emergency Center. Dr. Costa then stayed on staff as an emergency doctor, before joining the team at VCG.
Outside of work, Dr. Costa enjoys playing the piano, reading, woodworking, exercising, and spending time with his wife and two dogs.
